These are recipes that my Mother Guadalupe, "Lupita", used to make when I was growing up in Mexicali, Mexico. My mother was born in Guadalajara and learned most of her cooking from family and friends. With six children, she also learned from experience. These recipes are cherished and bring fond memories of her and me cooking together in the kitchen as I was growing up. I want to share her recipes with you, so you can enjoy some authentic, original Mexican food from her recipe files.
